Dr Ismail Amra

Dr Amra and his team of Orthodontic professionals are dedicated to creating healthy bites and beautiful smiles.

Dr Ismail Amra obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree through the University of the Witwatersrand in 1988. His achievements as an undergraduate included the C J Dreyer Award (for best results in General Medicine and General Surgery) and the Diastema Award (for best Undergraduate Journal Publication).

After that, Dr Amra worked in private practice in Johannesburg and Durban and moved to Cape Town in 1998 to further his studies at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). In 1999, he completed an MSc (Dent) in Orthodontics, followed in 2004 by completing his speciality MChD in Orthodontics (Cum Laude).

Dr Amra is a member of The South African Society of Orthodontics (SASO), the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the College of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA) and the International College of Dentists (ICD)
