Clear Aligners

Traditional metal braces are the most common braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Metal braces are made of high-grade stainless steel. They straighten your teeth using metal brackets and custom archwires.

With metal braces, you can add coloured elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colourful smile.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, ceramic braces are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients who have aesthetic concerns.

While they're visually less prominent, they require more attention to oral hygiene. In addition, ceramic braces are larger and are more brittle than their metal counterparts. For these reasons, ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than on lower teeth because the lower teeth are usually less visible.

Clear Aligners

Clear aligners like Spark Clear Aligners are a series of invisible, removable acrylic trays that straighten your teeth like braces.

Not only are the aligners invisible, but they're also removable. So you can eat and drink with fewer restrictions while in treatment, plus they make brushing and flossing less of a hassle.

Our teen patients especially love clear aligners because they can be removed during practice for sports and musical instruments, making them a very convenient option.

Adult Orthodontics

Dr Amra works closely with medical practitioners in various other fields to ensure that you get the best possible care during your orthodontic treatment.

Certain conditions, like gum disease or missing teeth, cannot be fixed by orthodontic treatment. Dr Amra will liaise with your dental team to ensure that your oral issues are attended to and do not cause complications during your orthodontic treatment.

Dr Amra also works closely with maxillofacial surgeons and periodontists. Adult patients generally see more wear and tear during their treatment, and cases need to be closely monitored to ensure no complications arise and that your case isn't compromised.

If you're an adult looking to invest in orthodontic care, give us a call and come in for an assessment. Our knowledgeable team will help you every step of the way.
